Activities are not restricted by immigration status.

Maximum number of stays that can be granted at a time: no upper limit

Who can apply?

F-5-1: A person who has been in Korea for more than five years

F-5-4: Spouse or minor children of permanent resident status holders

F-5-5: Investors of $500,000 or more who employ five or more Korean nationals

F-5-8: Korean-born overseas Koreans

F-5-9: A person with a doctoral degree in a high-tech industry and employed by a domestic company

F-5-10: Bachelor's degree in a high-tech industry, master's degree or higher in a general field, or a technical certificate and employed by a domestic company

F-5-11 : Persons with outstanding abilities in specific fields such as science, management, education, culture and arts, and physical education.

F-5-12: Those who have made special contributions to the Republic of Korea

F-5-13: Persons who are 60 years of age or older and receiving a pension from a foreign country

F-5-15: A person who has earned a doctoral degree by completing regular courses at a domestic graduate school and is employed by a domestic company.

F-5-16 : Persons who have stayed in Korea for more than three years on a points-based residence status

F-5-17: Persons who have invested in tourism and recreation facilities for more than five years under the resident status of investment.

F-5-18 : Spouse or minor child of a permanent resident (F-5-16) on the points system

F-5-19 : Spouse or unmarried child of a tourism and recreation investor (F-5-17)

F-5-20: Domestic-born children of permanent residents

F-5-20: Domestic-born child of a permanent resident (F-5-21)

F-5-22: Spouse or unmarried child of an ordinary investor in a public utility (F-5-21) or a retired immigrant investor in a public utility (F-5-23)

F-5-23 : Retired immigrant investor who has been investing in public utilities for more than 5 years and has more than 300 million in domestic assets

F-5-24: A person who has attracted investment of 300 million won or more as a technology startup (D-8-4) and employs two or more nationals.

F-5-25: A person who has pledged to invest KRW 1.5 billion or more for more than five years

F-5-26: A person who has worked for more than three years as an essential specialized worker in an R&D facility invested by a foreigner.

F-5-9, F-5-10, F-5-15: Copy of degree or technical certificate / copy of business license / copy of employment contract, certificate of employment

F-5-13: Copy of pension certificate and pension deposit passbook

F-5-16 : Copy of business license, copy of employment contract, certificate of service

F-5-17, F-5-21, F-5-23: Proof of investment, proof of domestic assets (F-5-23 only)

F-5-25 : Confirmation of investment deposit (issued by the Korea Development Bank), proof of foreign currency (foreign exchange purchase certificate), pledge of investment support

F-5-26 : R&D facility designation, dispatch order, or employment certificate
