Detailed Description

Manpower system under which employers are authorized to hire foreign workers under the employment permit system, and foreign workers are allowed to work for up to 4 years and 10 months in exchange for employment with the employer.

Maximum period of stay: 3 years

Who can apply?

Those who meet the requirements for domestic employment under the provisions of the Act on the Employment of Foreign Workers.

(Thailand, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Indonesia, Mongolia, Pakistan, Uzbekistan, Cambodia, China, Bangladesh, Nepal, Myanmar, Kyrgyzstan, Timor-Leste, Laos)

Required Documents

Submit a criminal background certificate issued by an authorized agency in the country of nationality.

Include all criminal convictions in the country of nationality; however, if the system for verifying criminal convictions in the country of nationality is inadequate, the certificate may be substituted by the internal affairs agency having jurisdiction over the place of residence.

The certificate must be dated within three months of the date of application.

Submit a health certificate in the form provided by the applicant.

In the form, the applicant must state whether he/she is infected with tuberculosis, hepatitis B, syphilis, etc. and whether he/she has ever taken drugs or been treated for mental illness.

Visa issuance authorization application, passport, and one standardized photograph.
