Detailed Description

Educational institutions: Colleges and universities or academic research institutions established under the Higher Education Act and special laws, and universities or affiliated language schools that meet the requirements set by the Minister of Justice.

Foreign students: Foreigners who wish to study abroad (D-2) and language training (D-4-1, D-4-7) at the above institutions for full-time education or specific research.

Maximum period of stay that can be granted once: 2 years.

D-2-2 : Bachelor's Program

D-2-3 : Master's Program

D-2-4 : Doctoral Program

D-2-5 : Research

D-2-6 : Exchange Students

D-2-7 : Work-Study Program

D-2-8 : Visiting Students

Required Documents

Application for visa issuance (recognition), copy of passport, and one photograph (must be taken within 6 months).

Business license (or a copy of the unique number) of the institution

Standardized admission letter (issued by the university president or dean)

Tuberculosis certificate (applicable only)

Proof of family relationship (only in case of submission of parental balance certificate, etc.)

Original and translated documents, including parents' English names.

Proof of final education: In principle, the original documents will be reviewed.

Proof of financial ability: an amount equivalent to one year's tuition and accommodation.

In the case of Vietnam, a separate certificate of balance of study expenses issued by a bank in the form of a payment reservation.
