Tourist and transit visas

Upper limit of the period of stay that can be granted at a time: set by the Minister of Justice.

Who can apply?

A person who intends to enter the Republic of Korea without a visa for the purpose of sightseeing, transit, etc.

A person who has been granted a re-entry permit or exempted from a re-entry permit and enters the country before the end of the period for which the permit or exemption was granted.

A national of a country that has a visa-free agreement with the Republic of Korea and is exempted under the agreement.

Persons entering the country for the purpose of international friendship, tourism, or the interests of the Republic of Korea, and who are otherwise authorized to enter the country as prescribed by Presidential Decree.

Persons who have been issued a refugee travel certificate and who leave the country and enter the country before the expiration of the certificate.

Required Documents

Application (Form 34), original passport, and fee.
