Who can apply?

Persons performing official duties for a foreign government or international organization

Clerical, technical, and labor staff of diplomatic missions of foreign governments authorized by the Government of the Republic of Korea.

Clerical, technical, and labor staff of women's organizations authorized by the Korean government

Employees of international organizations headquartered in the Republic of Korea

Employees of a foreign government or international organization who are stationed in the Republic of Korea on official business with the government of the Republic of Korea at a branch office of the foreign government or international organization.

A person sent by a foreign government or international organization on official business with the government of the Republic of Korea

Participants in meetings, etc. organized by the Korean government or international organizations

Family members of the above persons

Family members belonging to the same household as the person described above.

Required Documents

Application form, passport, one standard-sized photograph, and fee

A letter from the foreign minister or the minister of your country certifying your assignment or employment.

For activities outside the status of residence

Passport, unified application form

Fee (120,000 won for unauthorized activities): Accompanying family members of U.S. diplomatic missions in Korea are exempt from fees based on reciprocity.

Employment recommendation letter from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Diplomatic Attaché) (required)

Documents required for activities outside the status of residence for each status of residence (eligibility requirements, etc.)
